I'm Yours

So this song will forever remind me of one of my best friends in the world.  At mine and Daniel's bachelor/bachelorette party (we had them together all at one time, fun times), dearest Paco got up and did karoke to this song.  For whatever reason, I started crying.. uncontrollably so.  I couldn't have stopped if my life depended on it.  And as soon as he was done, he hopped off the stage and hugged me, feeling bad for making me cry.  But really, they weren't sad tears.  They were happy tears.  Paco is a very insightful person, and I think until that point, I didn't realize how well he got me.  It's a happy song.  It's a happy, go live your life, ignore the drama, just love and be loved kind of song.  It was his gift to us.  And I'm sure he'll read this and think 'well now...'    But it's a good song.  So thank you Paco, for being my friend, for helping me see the need to find and hold happiness and love.

Shimmer

This is another 'back in the day' song.  This song came out when I was a junior in high school and often soothed many of my hurts.  I don't know why, but it always did.  For a long time, I was very much a pessimist.  And the line from this song "All that shimmers in this world is sure to fade" always stuck with me.
Anyway, the video I found for this song is from Final Fantasy, and I happen to like that series, and I think the video suits the song pretty well.  Anyway, here ya go, and enjoy!

Take a Picture

I don't know what it didn't occur to me to post this song before, but it came on the radio this evening while we were on our way to visit the new house.  The lyrics are meaningful, and also quite amusing (in a 'you had to be there' kind of way).  I've always really liked Filter... for some reason, their lyrics touch me.  And Richard Patrick is nice to look at.  But in all honesty, the song (for me) is like a metaphor for new beginnings and moving on.  But sometimes the best memories are the ones you wish you could have captured with a picture.  Anyway, enough psychoanalyzation.
Enjoy.  I love this song.

Apologize

I know I've posted this song in other places before, but I decided it needs to go in my blog.  And yes, it's another OneRepublic song, but it's a good one.  The lyrics really strike a chord with me, probably because they're very true.
Anyway, have a song.  And a good night :)

Family Affair

This song is a fun booty shaking song, with fun lyrics.  It's all about having a good time, leave your drama outside and have some fun.  I enjoy it.  Sometimes fun songs are all you need to lift your spirits.  Throw a little boogie in there, and you're good to go.
Enjoy!

Secrets

I like this song, but I'm a fan of One Republic.  They're a little pop'ish, but we all know I like my pop music.  Anyway, I don't have alot to say about it, except it's been rolling around in my head today.  I've been writing on my story, so that's where my creativity is currently :)
Enjoy!

How you like me now...

So what if half the reason I like this commercial is because the commercial cracks me up?  It's a fun song.  And besides, I have a headache.  So yeah.  Don't leave your toys unattended in your car.  They're not as sweet and innocent as they may seem.  Specially that robot.  He's a wild party animal.  Trufax.

The real song

Millenium

I couldn't honestly tell you what it is exactly I like about this guy, but I do.  I enjoy his music and his face.  He's quite the cutie, and I obviously have a thing for guys with ink... But his music is fun and serious, all the same time.  I think this is one of my favorite songs, and it gets stuck in my head whenever it pops through my playlist or on the radio.

Trouble

I quite like Pink.  I really do.  When she first popped on the scene with her short spiky hot pink hair, I thought:  yep, I like this girl.  At the time, I had short spiky hair (go go impromptu hair cuts....) so I rocked some hot pink hair for a while.  But honestly, the think I like most about her is her no bullsh*t attitude.  She doesn't take crap from people, but at the same time is a total sweetheart.  Her lyrics are blunt, fun, and sweet.  One of her songs was even our first dance song for the wedding.
Anyway, enjoy this one, I always do :)

Lisztomania

This is a good summer song.  Like the kind you turn way up and drive down the road with your hand out the window doing the wave thing.. (I know you know what I'm talking about...)  It's a fun song and a fun band.
Summertime is funtime.  Enjoy it.  As much as we Austinites gripe about the hot weather, come winter, we'll be complaining about how we miss the warm.  Ok, in winter, we miss the warm, not the hellish hot that we have this week...
I digress...... ENJOY!
